Job Description
MADO Healthcare is a reputable adult residential care center dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare and supportive services in a secure, nurturing environment. The facility operates with a commitment to maintaining safety, respect, and recovery for its residents, many of whom require attentive and specialized care. As part of its ongoing effort to enhance safety and security protocols, MADO Healthcare is seeking qualified Safety/Security Personnel to join its team on a part-time basis. The center strictly complies with Illinois Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 guidelines, ensuring a safe workplace for both staff and residents. This position is integral to the well-being of residents by safeguarding the facility and responding promptly to any incidents or crises that may arise throughout the premises.
The role of Safety/Security Personnel at MADO Healthcare involves critical responsibilities that ensure the protection and security of the residential care environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing rounds both inside and outside the building, monitoring common areas to detect and prevent any potential security breaches, and responding swiftly and effectively to any emergencies or crises encountered. Due to the healthcare setting, candidates must meet strict requirements including passing a Healthcare Worker Background Check and a drug test, which ensures the highest standard of safety is maintained at the center. Experience in a psychiatric facility or similar healthcare environment is highly preferred, owing to the specific needs and challenges associated with residential care for adult clients.
This part-time position follows a unique rotating schedule, requiring availability primarily for overnight shifts from 11 pm to 7:30 am, alternating between Thursday and Friday one week, and Saturday and Sunday the following week. Punctuality and the ability to commute reliably to the facility during these hours are essential expectations. Additionally, the Security personnel should have strong customer service skills and prior experience in reception or security roles to effectively manage interactions with residents, visitors, and healthcare staff. The role demands vigilance, professionalism, and the capacity to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
Overall, this position presents an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in contributing to a critical aspect of healthcare service delivery focused on safety and mental health support. MADO Healthcare provides a supportive work environment where security staff are valued for their contributions to maintaining a safe, stable setting that underpins quality care. Candidates who thrive in dynamic, healthcare-related security roles and who appreciate the importance of compassionate service are encouraged to apply. This position not only offers consistent part-time employment but also a chance to be part of a dedicated team making a meaningful difference in the lives of adult residents at risk or in recovery.
