With over 275 full-time safety professionals, HazTek has established itself as a trusted name in safety management, offering diverse safety experiences and professional development opportunities. The company places a strong emphasis on creating a culture of inclusion, diversity, and acceptance where every team member’s unique skills, experience, and perspectives are valued. HazTek’s core values—Integrity, Compassion, Dependability, Leadership, and Accountability—are deeply embedded in every aspect of its operations, ensuring a collaborative and supportive work environment. HazTek adheres to equal opportunity employment practices, providing fair consideration to all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status. The company offers full-time employment, competitive benefits, stability, and management support while fostering a workplace culture where every employee can thrive professionally and personally. The role offers a local opportunity with no travel, per diem, or relocation offered, and a competitive salary range between $100,000 and $130,000 annually.

As a Safety Manager at HazTek, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining a safety-first culture on commercial construction projects. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that OSHA compliance standards are rigorously met and that best safety practices are consistently implemented across all job sites. You will lead daily safety meetings, conduct thorough safety audits and inspections, and oversee accident investigations and reporting, establishing a zero-compromise approach to workplace safety. The role requires hands-on management of all subcontractors and contractors to ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations.

The Safety Manager will also be responsible for overseeing critical safety areas such as Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation, ensuring that these high-risk activities meet stringent safety requirements. This position demands an individual with a minimum of seven years of direct construction safety experience who possesses advanced knowledge of construction safety standards. Proficiency in communication, both written and verbal, alongside strong Microsoft Office skills, is essential for documenting safety operations and collaborating effectively with project teams. Preferred qualifications include certifications such as OSHA 510, OSHA 500, CHST, or CSP, which underscore the candidate’s expertise in occupational safety and health.

Working at HazTek means you are part of a committed team that stands together for safety every day. The company values leadership and accountability, expecting its safety managers to embody these traits and actively contribute to a safer working environment where every worker goes home safely. This position is ideal for safety professionals seeking a meaningful career in construction safety management within a stable and supportive organization that offers ongoing professional growth and opportunities to engage with a network of seasoned safety experts.
