Job Description

Blue Compass RV is a rapidly growing company in the recreational vehicle (RV) industry with a strong presence of over 100 dealerships nationwide. Based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Blue Compass RV has earned a reputation for exceptional customer care and fostering a supportive work environment. The company is committed to investing in its employees through comprehensive training and development programs, creating a career path that encourages growth and advancement. Their team-oriented culture emphasizes respect, reliability, and pride in craftsmanship, making every employee feel like a valued part of the Blue Compass family. Blue Compass RV focuses on delivering outstanding service to customers by maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting dealership environment, which reflects their high standards and dedication to quality. With a work environment prioritizing employee well-being, the company offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package to support both personal and professional growth. Their operational approach balances hands-on work with the latest industry tools and safety protocols, aiming to provide customers with a seamless RV purchasing experience.

The Detailer/Lot Porter hybrid role at Blue Compass RV is an essential position designed for individuals who thrive in dynamic, physically active work settings and enjoy contributing to a team. This role is responsible for keeping the lot and vehicles in impeccable condition, thereby enhancing the dealership’s overall appearance and ensuring that every customer’s first impression is a positive one. The hybrid nature of the position means balancing duties of both detailed cleaning and lot management. As a detailer, you will meticulously clean the RVs inside and out, preparing each unit to meet showroom-quality standards by using various equipment such as vacuums, power washers, and polishing tools—with training provided if needed. Ensuring that every RV sparkles contributes directly to customer satisfaction and reflects the high quality Blue Compass RV aims to uphold.

As a lot porter, you will be tasked with moving RVs safely and efficiently around the dealership lot using forklifts or tow vehicles, organizing spaces to sustain a neat and customer-ready appearance, and assisting service and sales teams with staging vehicles and setting up for events. This requires a keen attention to detail to spot potential issues early and communicate them, supporting smooth operations throughout the facility. The role demands physical endurance, a proactive attitude, and a strong commitment to safety standards, making it ideal for candidates who enjoy working outdoors and being part of a cooperative team. This opportunity offers a competitive hourly wage ranging between $15 and $17 and comes with benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, 401(k) plans, pet insurance, gas discounts, and more. At Blue Compass RV, employees gain not only a job but also a career ladder within an expanding industry, where individual contributions are recognized and growth is encouraged.
