Job Description

Blue Compass RV is the fastest growing RV company in the United States, headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. With more than 100 dealerships nationwide, Blue Compass RV is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and quality in the recreational vehicle industry. They pride themselves on fostering a family-like environment for their employees, where team collaboration, respect, and personal growth are highly valued. Known for their innovative approach to RV sales and services, Blue Compass RV continually invests in employee development through comprehensive training programs and clear career advancement paths. Their commitment extends beyond customers to include their employees’ well-being, offering a wide range of benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid time off, and many more.

The Detailer / Lot Porter hybrid role at Blue Compass RV is an exciting opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy hands-on, physically active jobs. The position is essential in maintaining the dealership's high standards both in vehicle presentation and lot organization. The role requires balancing two important functions: detailing RVs to showroom-ready conditions and efficiently managing the movement and placement of RVs on the lot.

As a Detailer, you will be responsible for making every RV shine, inside and out. This includes thorough cleaning using vacuums, power washers, and polishing tools. Blue Compass RV provides training for those needing to learn these skills, ensuring that every unit looks immaculate and meets company standards for presentation. The attention to detail in this part of the job directly impacts the customer experience by creating positive first impressions with spotless RVs ready for sale or delivery.

In the Lot Porter capacity, you will be required to safely move RVs across the dealership lot or into service bays. This involves operating forklifts or tow vehicles to strategically organize the inventory, thus maintaining a neat and customer-friendly lot. Additionally, you’ll support sales and service teams by staging vehicles for events, conducting basic inspections, and flagging any concerns that require further attention. This hybrid role plays a crucial part in the dealership's overall operations, requiring a proactive, safety-focused mindset, and the ability to multitask effectively throughout the workday.

This position offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $15 to $30, reflecting experience and skill level. The role is perfect for candidates with backgrounds in auto detailing, car washes, forklift operation, or other hands-on roles where reliability and quality are essential. Apart from the monetary benefits, Blue Compass RV offers numerous perks including medical insurance, disability coverage, pet insurance, gas discounts, and a structured 5-day workweek, making it an attractive and supportive workplace.

Working at Blue Compass RV means being part of a company that values each team member as part of a larger family. Employees receive ongoing training and development to help them excel and grow their careers in the RV industry. The company fosters a positive, inclusive work environment with employee assistance programs, legal coverage, identity theft protection, and referral bonuses that reward dedication and teamwork. The Detailer / Lot Porter hybrid role is more than just a job; it’s a chance to develop a rewarding career with one of the nation’s leading RV dealership networks.
