The Route Service Manager role at UniFirst is a pivotal leadership position within the organization's service delivery framework. This role is responsible for recruiting, training, and leading a team of Route Service Supervisors and Route Service Representatives who provide direct service to a diverse client base. The team manages delivery routes covering multiple customers daily, ranging from small family-owned businesses to major corporate accounts. The Route Service Manager is charged with driving customer satisfaction, achieving account growth, and ensuring profitability at their location. They work closely with the location management team to align service delivery with company standards and client expectations, while actively negotiating renewal of customer contracts. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior customer service experience
  • Ability to problem solve and handle various customer service situations
  • Ability to negotiate, train, coach, and lead a team
  • Strong computer proficiency including MS Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Valid non-commercial driver’s license in state of residence
  • Must meet pre-employment DOT physical requirements
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Individuals who drive for business purposes must comply with minimum auto insurance requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior customer service experience
  • Ability to negotiate, train, coach, and lead a team
  • Strong computer proficiency (MS Office)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Business savvy with a results-driven, relationship management approach
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Valid non-commercial driver’s license in the state of residence

  • 21 years of age or older

Job Duties

  • Oversee the recruiting, training, and development of a team of Route Service Representatives and Route Service Supervisors
  • Build strong relationships with customers and elevate the team’s customer satisfaction levels
