The Route Sales Driver operates a commercial vehicle over an established delivery route to ensure product availability and customer satisfaction. The role demands a balance of driving skills, sales acumen, and physical capability to handle merchandise logistics in various weather conditions.\n\nIn this position, the Route Sales Driver must follow all Federal Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) requirements, including adhering to safety regulations and successfully passing physical and drug screenings. They will interact directly with business customers, collecting payments, documenting sales, and soliciting new customers to expand the company's market reach. Additionally, the driver will be responsible for loading and unloading milk and dairy products, stacking and unstaking heavy items up to 50 pounds at heights reaching seven feet, and managing the physical demands of moving milk stacks weighing approximately 240 pounds during their shifts. The role also involves setting up promotional displays, issue sales materials, and resolving customer service issues when they arise, ensuring the customer’s needs are met promptly and professionally.\n\nThe work environment includes exposure to extreme temperatures—hot environments exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit and cold environments below 32 degrees Fahrenheit—which requires the driver to be resilient and adaptable.
