The full-time Route Driver - Utility position based in Gainesville, FL, is a critical role responsible for delivering and selling a variety of products such as soft drinks, bakery items, specialty foods, snacks, and sundries directly to customers along a designated route. This role requires a dependable individual who can safely operate a company-owned truck over established routes while maintaining excellent customer service standards. The position demands previous route coverage experience and a valid driver's license, ensuring proficiency in route navigation and vehicle safety.
The Route Driver - Utility will also engage in collecting money from vending machines, replenishing stock, managing inventory including uncollected merchandise, and ensuring the accurate recording of transactions via cards or electronic devices. Additional responsibilities include assisting Customer Service Managers with operational duties such as daily opening and closing procedures and training new route service personnel when necessary. The role also entails maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of machines, setting up promotional displays, and addressing customer service issues to help sustain customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Job Duties
- Drive company-owned truck along established route to deliver products and services
- collect money from vending machines and provide change
- place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines
- collect stale, rejected, or unsold merchandise
- assist Customer Service Managers with daily opening and closing and training new personnel
- record transactions on appropriate card or electronic device and maintain cash and product accountability
- set up merchandise and sales promotion displays
- maintain clean and safe work environment
- perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines
- call on existing customers to determine adequacy of service and resolve complaints
