The role of Route Driver - Office Coffee at Canteen is critical in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of products and services along established routes. This full-time position, located at 3009 Northeast 19th Drive, Gainesville, FL, offers a competitive fixed pay rate of $20.00 per hour, with potential commission eligibility. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours varying and details provided at the interview stage. This job involves driving company vehicles, maintaining vending machines, and servicing office coffee equipment while embodying the company's commitment to excellent customer service. Job Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • Previous route driving experience preferred
  • Able to lift 50 lbs consistently
  • Willingness to learn to operate material handling equipment
  • Ability to work independently

Job Qualifications

  • Three years driving experience required
  • Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license
  • Preferred 1-2 years experience in a customer service position or a minimum of 1 year of related experience
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a consistent basis
  • Ability to operate or willingness to learn material handling equipment such as box truck and handcarts
  • Able to work independently and responsible for route unsupervised 98 percent of the workday

Job Duties

  • Maintain proper inventory levels and product distribution for vending machines
  • Provide client and customer satisfaction in every aspect of job performance
  • Display a clear understanding of company policies and ability to administer as needed
  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of vending machines and other related equipment
  • Conduct minor service and adjustments on machines and report defective equipment to designated maintenance repair service operators or technician dispatcher
  • Ensure truck is properly loaded with all product required to properly service all scheduled machines prior to beginning each day's route
  • Inform regular clients and customers of new products or services, listen to and resolve service complaints
  • Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue sales promotion materials to customers
  • Accountable for all receipt of goods, invoices, delivery tickets, cash received or collected and product
  • Conduct inventory reconciliation in accordance with District procedures
  • Keep company vehicle clean and organized at all times and perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections
  • Perform all job functions in a safe and professional manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned
