The Route Delivery Driver position at GA Foods located in Saint Petersburg is an essential role that involves the safe and timely delivery of food items and supplies to customer homes and designated sites. This role requires meticulous attention to food safety and handling protocols, including strict adherence to temperature requirements to maintain optimal meal quality upon delivery. A key responsibility of the driver is the upkeep and cleanliness of the delivery vehicle, ensuring that it remains in proper working condition through routine daily inspections and maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels and vehicle service records.

Prospective candidates should have a minimum of three years of prior experience in route delivery or distribution, display good knowledge of GPS and tablet technologies for navigation and recordkeeping, and possess ServSafe Food Handler Certification. A valid driver’s license with no DUI in the last five years and a clean driving record are mandatory requirements. The physical demands of the job include standing for up to one-third of the time, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, as well as the ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds. The work environment is a mix of outdoor conditions and vehicle operation, with exposure to varying weather including heat, cold, rain, and snow. This role typically follows a standard weekly schedule but may require weekend work based on business needs.

Job Duties
- Safe delivery of food items and supplies to customer homes/sites in a timely and accurate manner
- Vehicle upkeep and cleanliness
- Maintain food safety and handling procedures with compliance to temperature requirements
- Report any deficiencies or problems to supervisor promptly
- Maintain driver scorecard and other required recordkeeping
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain service records
- Check vehicle fluid levels and perform general routine inspection of vehicle to ensure all is in working order
- Assist with packing and/or storing of food items, components and/or supplies as required
- Regular attendance required to meet employer's attendance policy to ensure customer deliveries can be accomplished as scheduled
- Other duties as assigned by management
