This position is integral to upholding Marriott's high standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency within the housekeeping department. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the meticulous cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and public areas. The role involves supervising and inspecting the work of housekeepers, completing detailed checklists and paperwork pertaining to cleanliness and room conditions, and ensuring compliance with all company safety and security policies. This is a dynamic role that entails responding promptly to guests' and other departments' requests, assisting in the hiring and training of employees, as well as motivating and coaching the team to consistently deliver exceptional service. You will maintain professional standards including uniform and personal appearance while protecting proprietary information and company assets.
The role requires physical stamina for tasks like lifting, carrying, and moving housekeeping equipment and supplies, and performing duties that involve standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods. The ability to operate work-related machinery and use computer systems for reporting and scheduling is essential. As part of the leadership team in housekeeping, you will foster positive working relationships, support team cohesion, and continuously seek ways to improve organizational productivity, quality, safety, and cost-efficiency. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- at least 1 year of related work experience
- no supervisory experience required
- ability to follow company and safety and security policies and procedures
- physical stamina to perform duties involving lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling
- excellent communication skills
- ability to enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or POS systems
- willingness to perform other reasonable job duties as assigned

Job Duties
- Enter status of rooms cleaned
- complete checklists to report cleanliness and condition of each assigned area
- complete required housekeeping paperwork
- identify room assignments and type of cleaning required for each room
- inspect guest rooms after being cleaned by housekeeper
- respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments
- assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees
