The organization prides itself on delivering exceptional guest experiences through passionate service, loyalty with purpose, and meaningful connections, driven by the human side of hospitality. Sonesta is committed to providing quality, value, and outstanding hospitality to every guest, every stay.
The role of Room Attendant (RA) at Sonesta is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction that the brand represents. A Room Attendant works closely with the Housekeeping Management Team to ensure guest rooms, public spaces, and laundry facilities meet or exceed Sonesta's brand standards regarding time, product quality, and placement. This position is essential in creating an inviting and comfortable environment for guests by performing thorough cleaning and servicing of assigned rooms and areas, and handling laundry operations when required. The Room Attendant plays a crucial role in upholding Sonesta's G.U.E.S.T. service standards, responding promptly and effectively to guest needs, complaints, and special requests, and contributing to overall operational excellence.
This full-time role is compensated with an hourly wage ranging from $31.77 to $42.37, which aligns with contract requirements. The compensation reflects the importance of the position within Sonesta's broader mission to deliver unmatched hospitality. The position demands physical stamina for frequent standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving throughout the facility, and sometimes lifting or moving items up to 75 pounds. The role requires working flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure continual guest satisfaction and hotel operations.
Room Attendants serve as key representatives of the hotel's commitment to quality by maintaining cleanliness in all guest-accessible areas, adhering to health and safety regulations, and promoting teamwork among shifts and departments. The job also includes regular use of commercial cleaning chemicals, inspection and management of laundry supplies and equipment, and assisting with deep cleaning projects. Attention to detail, adherence to established procedures, and proactive communication with supervisors about room statuses and maintenance needs are vital for success in this position.
