Job Description

Hotel Marcel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, stands as a landmark in sustainable hospitality, being the first net-zero energy hotel in the United States. Housed in the historic mid-century modern Armstrong Rubber Company Building—originally designed by Marcel Breuer in 1967—this hotel combines architectural heritage with pioneering green technology. It holds LEED Platinum certification and is the first Passive House certified hotel in the nation, showcasing an unparalleled commitment to energy efficiency and environmental responsibility. Using solar power from rooftop and parking canopy arrays, Hotel Marcel generates 100 percent of its electricity for lighting, heating, and cooling, setting a new standard for eco-conscious travel.

Hotel Marcel offers 165 uniquely designed rooms, blending modern boutique aesthetics with local cultural touches, a full-service restaurant, an inviting gallery space, and 7,000 square feet of flexible meeting rooms. As part of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection, this hotel delivers a personalized, intimate guest experience where innovative sustainability meets warm hospitality. Employees at Hotel Marcel are valued for their expertise and entrepreneurial mindset, while benefiting from a clear framework of support and guidance.

The role of a Housekeeper at Hotel Marcel is essential to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction the hotel is known for. This position involves cleaning guest rooms and public areas, restocking supplies, and ensuring that each space reflects the hotel’s commitment to quality and care. Housekeepers play a vital role in creating a welcoming, comfortable environment for guests that aligns with the property’s sustainable ethos. The job requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a dedication to exceptional service.

Working as a Housekeeper here offers more than routine cleaning tasks; it is an opportunity to be part of a pioneering sustainability initiative within the hospitality industry. The team operates with respect for individual knowledge and creativity, while also embracing a collaborative approach to safety and guest care. Employees are trained to recognize and communicate maintenance and safety concerns promptly, ensuring an uninterrupted, positive experience for all guests. This position offers a supportive work environment where dedication and professionalism are acknowledged and rewarded, making it ideal for individuals seeking career growth in eco-friendly hospitality.
