Job Requirements
- Less than high school education
- up to six months related experience or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to read two- and three-syllable words
- ability to print and speak simple sentences
- apply common sense understanding
- communicate in English
- recognize situations requiring supervisory attention
- use reasonable care for safety and security
- ability to lift and move 25 to 50 pounds
- capable of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling
- occasional climbing and balancing
- willingness to use cleaning fluids and operate hand tools

Job Duties
- Clean guest rooms according to hotel procedures
- dust, wax, scrub, and polish surfaces
- stock cart with room supplies at beginning of shift
- greet guests courteously
- replace linens and replenish supplies
- empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays
- rearrange furnishings and room accessories
- provide linen and amenities as per guest room legend
- ensure room is secured and door is locked
- report damages and hazards
- handle lost and found items
- manage keys during shift
- clean corridors and service areas
- respond to housekeeping management requests
- replace light bulbs as needed
- restock cart and organize linen closet
- perform other housekeeping duties as assigned
