Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Must be able to attend mandatory meetings
- Capable of performing general cleaning and restocking tasks
- Must comply with state, federal, and liquor laws
- Ability to work an 8-hour shift
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work in person at the designated location
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene standards
- Familiarity with point of sale systems
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change
- Customer service oriented with a friendly and professional demeanor
Job Duties
- Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting
- Promptly and consistently rest all service ware as prescribed
- Greet all guests with a positive demeanor and ensure their complete satisfaction
- Prepare trays, laying out napkins and utensils, performing all other preparation tasks
- Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties, and menu deviations
- Maintain proper dining experience, deliver items, fulfill customer needs, offer desserts and drinks, remove courses, replenish utensils, refill glasses
- Record details of the order from guests, repeat order to guest to check for accuracy
- Retrieve orders from kitchen, confirm accuracy and presentation when delivering
- Abide by all state, federal, and liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
- Pick up trays regularly from hallways and guest rooms
- Obtain revenues, issue receipts, accept payments, verify validity of charges, record charges, return change, ensure vouchers are properly executed
- Provide information to guests including menu descriptions, hotel information, and city surroundings
- Input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest and personnel guests
