Job Requirements
- Bachelor of nursing (BSN)
- minimum of 5 years clinical experience as a registered nurse
- at least 3 years of RN experience in the related field of expediter role
- registered nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
- current BLS (CPR) certification
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor of Nursing (BSN)
- minimum of 5 years clinical experience as a registered nurse
- at least 3 years of RN experience in the related field of expediter role (Emergency, PCU/ICU, Procedural areas such as PACU, Short Stay, Endoscopy)
- registered nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
- current BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
Job Duties
- Apply knowledge of healthcare systems, resources, and patient needs to guide patients through their medical journey, ensuring access to necessary services and support
- expedite, prioritize, synchronize and mediate (in real time) clinical issues, remove barriers to discharge and address delays in care
- identify potential issues so staff can prioritize patient-care activities and discharges and mitigate potential bottlenecks before they occur
- confer with multi-disciplinary teams to identify effective strategies/approaches to reduce patient length of stay, handle complex discharges, conditional discharge orders and related issues ensuring patients have a safe discharge
- perform other duties as assigned
