Job Description

Flynn Group entered the Panera system in 2015 with the acquisition of 47 cafes. Since then, the company has experienced remarkable growth, more than tripling in size to become the second largest Panera franchisee in the world. Flynn Panera continues to expand its footprint by building new stores and acquiring other franchise operators who share the company's strong commitment to quality and customer service. Flynn Panera operates within a decentralized business model where each geographic market is led by a Market Leader. Below the Market Leaders are Area Directors who manage multiple cafes and oversee the overall functions of the cafes in their area. General Managers are directly responsible for the day-to-day operations of individual cafes, supported by Assistant Managers who run specific departments and help with management responsibilities. Team Managers contribute to the leadership team by supporting various aspects of cafe operations.

Flynn Group itself was established in 1999 by Greg Flynn and has grown to become the largest franchise restaurant operator in the world, managing a diversified portfolio across several major brands, including Applebee's, Arby's, Panera Bread, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Wendy's, and Planet Fitness. The company is driven by core values of caring genuinely for people, playing like champions, and winning as one team. These values are embedded in their operations and serve as a guide for all employees.

Flynn Panera cafes offer an upscale and friendly environment where baked breads, pastries, and made-to-order soups, salads, and sandwiches are served alongside specialty espresso beverages. The brand stands apart with its commitment to a grease-free, alcohol-free environment achieved by not using fryers or operating late at night. This policy supports a healthy working environment and emphasizes a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

The role of a Retail Team Member at Flynn Panera is focused on delivering excellent customer service while maintaining a clean, fast, and friendly cafe environment. Retail Team Members are trained to listen carefully to guest needs and deliver orders promptly, accurately, and with a friendly smile. This position is perfect for team players who are enthusiastic, service-oriented, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment. Employees at Flynn Panera benefit from competitive pay rates ranging from minimum wage to $20 per hour plus tips, flexible scheduling options, meal discounts, and access to insurance benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverages.

Physical demands for the role include the ability to stand and move at a steady pace for up to ten hours, safely lift objects up to 50 pounds, possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment, and basic literacy skills to facilitate communication. Flynn Panera is committed to creating an inclusive workplace and provides reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities.

Working for Flynn Panera offers employees the stability of a large and growing franchise, opportunities for career advancement, comprehensive training, and a supportive culture designed to help employees reach their full potential. Flynn Group is proud of its diverse workforce and equal opportunity employment practices, ensuring all team members have the chance to succeed within the company’s vibrant and rewarding environment.
