The Full-Time Retail Stocking Team Supervisor position at Burlington offers a unique opportunity to be a critical part of the store leadership team, specifically overseeing the operations and productivity in the Back of House and Receiving areas. This role is designed for driven individuals passionate about retail operations and leadership development. As the main leader directing the Back of House team, you will manage all aspects of merchandise progression including receiving deliveries, sorting cartons, processing merchandise, and ensuring the orderly flow of goods to the sales floor. Your role will also encompass maintaining back of house cleanliness and organization, enforcing safety and asset protection policies, and promoting a culture of teamwork and accountability.

Acting as a stepping-stone to a management role, this position requires a hands-on, self-starter approach with strong supervisory skills and the ability to motivate and lead a team towards achieving business goals. The Retail Stocking Team Supervisor collaborates closely with Store Management and plays a vital role in driving results by building partnerships, coaching associates, and maintaining high standards of operational excellence. Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience within an off-price, big box, or a specialty environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and engaging attitude
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required
  • Ability to move, handle, lift store merchandise weighing 40 lbs or more, as well as the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience within an off-price, big box, or a specialty environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and engaging attitude
  • Proven leadership ability to motivate and manage a team
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle operational challenges
  • Customer service orientation with a focus on teamwork and collaboration
  • Basic computer skills for scheduling and reporting

Job Duties

  • Lead merchandise progression process including receiving deliveries, unloading and sorting cartons, processing merchandise, and flowing goods to the sales floor
  • Ensure back of house cleanliness, set-up, and organization are at standard
  • Reinforce company Asset Protection strategies to eliminate shortage
  • Promote safety for both customers and associates by adhering to company guidelines
  • Cultivate a diverse culture based on teamwork and collaboration
  • Drive associate compliance with company policies and standards
  • Direct associates and workload
  • Accountability for team productivity results and merchandise protection
  • Coach associates in the moment and provide recognition
  • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new associates
  • Participate in weekly workload planning meetings
  • Drive Community Relations participation through company programs and partnerships
  • Coordinate meal and break periods and monitor schedule adherence
