The HomeGoods Store located at 3945 Everhard Rd N.W., USA, is currently seeking motivated individuals to join their team. This role focuses on executing receiving and merchandising standards, working effectively with associates to process merchandise, and delivering an excellent customer experience. The position emphasizes teamwork, engagement with customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. As part of a supportive team, this role demands leadership responsibilities including training and mentoring associates, prioritizing the flow of merchandise, ensuring merchandise coding, tagging, and proper display, as well as adherence to store policies and safety standards.

Job Duties

  • Create a positive internal and external customer experience
  • promote a culture of honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality
  • orchestrate truck delivery prioritizing merchandise processing
  • train and mentor associates on merchandising and processing principles
  • ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded
  • communicate with Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow to sales floor
  • ensure associates complete tasks according to store plan and prioritize as needed
  • monitor productivity and coach team members
  • organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment
  • maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards
  • uphold cleanliness and recovery standards in backroom
  • ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs
  • communicate effectively with management and associates
  • provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback
  • partner with management on associate training
  • ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures
  • promote credit and loyalty programs
  • support store shrink reduction goals and programs
  • promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment
  • perform other duties as assigned
