The opportunity at the USA HomeGoods Store located at 4840 Forest Drive STE 9A in Columbia, SC, invites talented individuals to join the TJX family in a full-time role as a Receiving and Merchandising Lead. This position offers a starting pay range of $13.00 to $13.50 per hour, with actual pay determined by skills, qualifications, and experience. The role is integral to maintaining store standards by executing receiving and merchandising procedures efficiently while leading a team of associates. The Receiving and Merchandising Lead is responsible for creating a seamless customer experience by ensuring the sales floor is well-stocked, merchandise is tagged and displayed correctly, and the store environment is clean and organized.

As a team leader, the individual will play a crucial role in mentoring associates, fostering a culture of teamwork, honesty, and integrity, and ensuring adherence to policies and safety standards. The job requires excellent organizational skills, flexibility to work nights and weekends, and the ability to respond proactively to changes within the store environment. Job Duties

  • Creates a positive internal and external customer experience

  • orchestrates truck delivery prioritizing merchandise processing
  • trains and mentors associates on merchandising and processing principles
  • ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded
  • communicates with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods
  • ensures associates complete tasks according to store plan
  • monitors team productivity and provides coaching
  • organizes and rotates back stock
  • maintains merchandising philosophy and signage standards
  • maintains cleanliness and recovery standards for the backroom
  • ensures compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs
  • communicates effectively with management and associates
  • provides and accepts recognition and feedback
  • partners with management on associate training needs
  • ensures adherence to labor laws and store policies
  • promotes credit and loyalty programs
