We are seeking motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as Utility Workers. This full-time, hourly position offers a competitive wage of $18.50 per hour, along with a range of benefits including full health coverage with SSP paying an average of 80% of monthly premiums per coverage level, as well as dental, vision, and various voluntary plan coverages. In this role, utility workers will play a crucial part in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our restaurant areas. Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing workspaces, equipment, and dining areas to ensure hygienic conditions that meet or exceed industry standards. Utility workers are essential in creating a positive guest experience by ensuring all surfaces including floors, walls, windows, vents, service counters, and refrigeration units are spotless. This position involves tasks such as scraping food from dishes and utensils, operating dishwashers, and restocking supplies while adhering to proper food safety protocols.

Utility workers will also assist guests by responding to specific requests and communicating any special needs to supervisors or servers. The role requires physical stamina for loading and unloading supply trucks, moving supplies between storage and work areas, and performing routine maintenance duties. Attention to detail and the ability to use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely are important attributes for success in this position. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in hospitality, food service, or janitorial work preferred
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Willingness to comply with all health and safety regulations
  • Availability to work various shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment
  • Good communication skills to assist guests and coordinate with staff
  • Physical ability to handle the demands of the job including lifting and standing for extended periods
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Previous experience in a similar utility or cleaning role preferred
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Create a positive guest experience by cleaning and maintaining hygienic work areas
  • Remove refuse to designated areas
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all surfaces and equipment such as floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, worktables, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, storage areas
  • Clear and reset tables in dining areas between seatings and transport service-ware to the kitchen for cleaning
  • Scrape food from dirty dishes, pots, and pans and wash by hand or load dishwasher and return them to their proper storage place
  • Clean equipment using specific chemicals to meet sanitary standards, may include the use of heavy equipment
  • Assist all guests with specific requests and communicate special needs to server or supervisor
  • Load and unload supply trucks transferring between storage and work areas
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of food items
  • Other duties as assigned
