This Restaurant Team Member role is an essential position within Panera Bread's bakery-cafe operations. Serving as the face of hospitality, the Team Member plays a vital role in connecting with guests, ensuring they feel valued and welcomed. The position involves a variety of duties ranging from greeting guests warmly to preparing fresh salads, soups, and sandwiches with care and precision. Additionally, team members will handle multiple roles depending on the bakery-cafe's needs, such as working in production, service, cashier duties, drive-thru, or barista tasks. This dynamic role requires adaptability, enthusiasm, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment. Job Requirements

  • minimum age 16 or older
  • ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • ability to clearly communicate and understand directions in a loud environment
  • strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
  • willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • completion of basic food safety training (food handler's card as required by law)
  • passion for working with food
  • food service experience preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • execute duties for specific bakery-cafe areas such as production, prep, service, cashier, expo, drive-thru, barista, guest experience champion, qc
  • greet every guest with genuine warmth and enthusiasm
  • assemble fresh salads, soups, and sandwiches accurately and efficiently
  • assist guests at entry, cashier, and dining areas
  • maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment by following food safety standards and cleaning protocols
  • adapt to daily priorities and changes with a positive attitude
  • support team success by completing cleaning and stocking duties and helping set up the next shift
