The Restaurant Supervisor role at Sortino’s Italian Kitchen is a key leadership position within Kalahari Resorts’ food and beverage division. This role involves supervising daily restaurant operations while ensuring all service and product quality standards exceed guest expectations. The Restaurant Supervisor will lead by example, delivering exceptional guest experiences with a fun, friendly, professional, and attentive approach to food and beverage service. As part of the leadership team, this position requires training, coaching, and developing associates, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment, and guaranteeing that all equipment and restaurant areas meet cleanliness and maintenance standards. Administrative duties, including adherence to resort policies and safety standards, are also part of the responsibilities. Candidates with at least one year of supervisory experience in front-of-house food and beverage operations, specifically in full-service restaurant settings within hotels or resorts, will be well suited for this role. Job Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in front-of-house operations or supervisory roles within the food and beverage industry
  • Prior full-service restaurant work experience is required
  • Ability to communicate, read, write, and speak English effectively
  • Must obtain certification in alcohol awareness/safety and food handling as required by state or local laws
  • Willingness to train and develop associates
  • Ability to uphold and enforce company policies and maintain high service and cleanliness standards

Job Qualifications

  • General food and beverage knowledge with at least 1 year of front-of-house operations or supervisory experience in a hotel or resort setting
  • Prior restaurant experience in a full-service restaurant
  • Effective communication skills in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Preferred but not required bilingual skills
  • Possession of alcohol awareness/safety certification and proper food handling certification as mandated by state or local law

Job Duties

  • Support the Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, and F&B Director by fully understanding and enforcing all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs for the food and beverage outlets within the resort
  • Fill in as associate when needed to maintain guest service standards and operational efficiency daily
  • Continually develop, coach, and train staff in all areas of professional development
  • Ensure all restaurant equipment is clean and in excellent working condition through inspections and preventative maintenance programs
  • Provide leadership to foster a positive and efficient work environment that supports teamwork and exceptional guest experiences
