Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or foreign equivalency
  • Minimum one year restaurant experience
  • Minimum one year experience selling and serving wine and beverages
  • Intermediate to advanced level English
  • Training in safety, environmental, public health and sanitation
  • Ability to work 7 days a week
  • Must have professional appearance and good hygiene
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Physical ability for standing, walking, bending, climbing and lifting over 25 pounds
  • Must pass basic safety course
  • Ability to participate in emergency life saving procedures and drills
  • Ability to adjust to changing schedules, assignments and supervisor directions

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year previous restaurant experience in land-based or shipboard operation
  • Minimum of one year previous experience selling and serving wine and other beverage products
  • Intermediate to advanced level English verbal and writing skills with proper grammar
  • High school diploma or foreign equivalency
  • Courses or training in safety, environmental, public health and sanitation regulations and procedures
  • Passionate about hospitality and customer service
  • Professional appearance and good hygiene
  • Respect for co-workers and guests
  • Positive attitude with ability to create positive energy and excitement
  • Able to work 7 days a week
  • Demonstrate smiling, politeness and courteous behaviors

Job Duties

  • Turning over tables and promoting beverage service in the Buffet
  • Responsible for safeguarding all equipment and materials required for operation
  • Turning of tables and capitalizing on beverage service in the Buffet
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or directed
  • Must be familiar with Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and SEMS and carry out policies and procedures
  • Escorts guests and/or resets tables as assigned in Main Dining Rooms
  • Assist Waiters with stocking, cleaning and maintaining waiter stations
  • Ensures restaurants are cleaned according to cleaning schedules and standards
  • Set up Crew Mess rooms with all food, beverages, condiments, utensils, china, glassware and silverware
  • Maintain food line and cleanliness of tables in Crew Mess during service
  • Clean and sanitize food line, beverage dispensing machines and restock at end of service
  • Set up assigned Buffet station with required equipment and mis-en-place
  • Clean tables in assigned Buffet station throughout service
  • Complies with sequence of beverage service to ensure timely guest service in Buffet
  • Perform side work such as silverware roll-ups, emptying trash, and stocking/cleaning beverage station
  • Perform additional assigned tasks including manning buffet action stations
