Job Description

MOD is a vibrant and inclusive fast-casual pizza restaurant that stands out by valuing individuality, creativity, and community. Known for its customizable pizzas and salads, MOD invites its guests to express their unique tastes and preferences while fostering an environment where diversity and community engagement are deeply embedded in the company’s culture. MOD aims to create more than just a pizza experience; it aims to create a space where every ingredient matters and every person feels welcome. The brand’s philosophy revolves around celebrating individuality—whether expressed through their culinary creations or in the personalities of their team members. MOD is committed to social responsibility, giving back to the communities they serve as a core part of their mission. Working at MOD means being part of a movement they call “Spreading MODness,” where every pizza has the power to create new possibilities for people both inside and outside the restaurant.

The Shift Supervisor role at MOD is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop and demonstrate their leadership abilities within a dynamic and supportive team environment. This position is hourly and includes a competitive wage of $16.80 per hour, which combines a base pay of $13.25 and an average tip amount of $3.55 per hour earned at this location. The Shift Supervisor is entrusted with overseeing restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring that all guests receive outstanding service and that the restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a leader who can balance hands-on work with mentorship, team coordination, and operational management. As a Shift Supervisor, you will lead by example, train new squad members, and ensure that MOD’s high standards are consistently met related to food quality, safety, guest experience, and operational execution.

Your responsibilities will not only include managing the day-to-day tasks and squad deployment but also facilitating communication, inventory management, and problem resolution. This includes supporting technology systems like online ordering and catering, managing cash accurately, and maintaining cleanliness and organization within the restaurant. You will be the frontline leader during shifts, setting the tone for your team and serving as a mentor who helps develop others’ skills and confidence. MOD encourages leaders who can remain calm under pressure, make thoughtful decisions, and who take pride in creating a positive and welcoming environment for both guests and team members. This role is ideal for candidates with at least one year of experience in customer service or restaurant environments and who have demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities. MOD offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation and sick time, a 401(k) plan, free food and beverages during shifts, pet insurance, discounted gym memberships, and access to free counseling sessions. By joining MOD as a Shift Supervisor, you become part of a company that values your individuality and offers you the tools and support to grow as a leader while making a meaningful impact in your restaurant and community.
