The Shift Supervisor role at Peter Piper Pizza is a vital leadership position responsible for executing the company’s operational standards and ensuring an outstanding guest experience. This role involves overseeing daily restaurant operations, managing team members’ performance, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. The Shift Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting career growth within the organization by coaching, training, and developing teams that include Certified Trainers, Team Leads, and Key Holders. This role requires a minimum age of 18, high school diploma or GED, and prior supervisory or training experience, preferably within the restaurant or hospitality industry. The Shift Supervisor is tasked with opening and closing the restaurant, ensuring profitability through efficient labor and food waste control, modeling guest hospitality expectations, and enforcing compliance with company policies and safety regulations. Physical demands of the job include lifting up to 50 pounds and performing various physical activities throughout the shift.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • 6 months of supervisory, lead or training experience preferably within the restaurant or hospitality industry or equivalent combination of relevant supervisory, lead or training experience and industry experience
  • Basic computer skills

Job Duties

  • Open and close the restaurant by following the appropriate checklists
  • Ensure the profitability of the restaurant through various means, including sales, control of labor costs and food waste
  • Model and reinforce guest hospitality expectations
  • Train, coach and develop Team Members
  • Ensure all Team Members adhere to rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain a safe working environment for all Team Member and guests
  • Assign daily tasks to Team Members and follow-up
