This role is for a leadership position within Shake Shack’s team-oriented fast-paced restaurant environment. The primary focus is to manage the flow of service during shifts, directing the team to achieve the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, quality, and efficiency. The position involves leadership responsibilities such as building and guiding a high-performing hourly team, contributing to operational functions like purchasing, receiving, and inventory management, and engaging in recruitment and employee relations activities. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year of restaurant leadership experience supervising a team
  • valid food safety certification required by local jurisdiction
  • strong problem solving skills
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
  • basic knowledge of purchasing, receiving, and inventory processes

Job Qualifications

  • at least 1 year of restaurant leadership experience supervising a team
  • current food safety certification according to local jurisdiction
  • strong problem solving skills
  • effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • leadership skills with the capability to motivate team members
  • understanding of operational support functions

Job Duties

  • manage the flow of service and direct the work of team members on a shift to ensure the highest levels of safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed
  • help build and lead high performing team of hourly team members
  • assist with operational support functions such as purchasing, receiving, inventory
  • participate in applicant interviews and assist with employee relations
  • maintain compliance with food safety standards
  • facilitate communication between management and team members
  • promote a positive and inclusive work environment
