Job Description

Shake Shack began as a humble hot dog cart in New York City's Madison Square Park, founded by Danny Meyer, who is also the CEO of Union Square Hospitality Group and the author of the acclaimed book, Setting the Table. What started as a small cart quickly turned into a beloved local favorite, with loyal Shack Fans lining up daily and giving back to the community by donating all proceeds to park beautification efforts. This dedication to community ties and fine hospitality laid the foundation for what has become one of the fastest-growing hospitality brands worldwide.

Today, Shake Shack stands as a premier restaurant company dedicated to crafting unforgettable guest experiences through excellent food quality and exceptional service. With roots deeply embedded in fine dining standards and a commitment to giving back, Shake Shack has evolved into more than just a restaurant; it is a community-driven brand that upholds the philosophy of "Standing for Something Good." The company’s culture prioritizes people – both customers and team members alike – fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging workplace environment known as the #ShackFam.

The role of a Shift Manager at Shake Shack embodies this vision, representing a leadership position integral to maintaining high standards in safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed of service during a shift. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for managing the flow of service and providing direction and support to hourly team members to build and lead a high-performing team. This role offers the exciting opportunity to influence operational success, engage in hiring processes, provide employee relations support, and even assist with essential operational functions such as purchasing, receiving, and inventory management.

This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for hospitality and team leadership who are looking for a career with growth potential and meaningful impact within a company recognized for its positive culture and industry leadership. Shake Shack offers competitive starting hourly wages ranging between $22.40 and $26.40, alongside a comprehensive benefits package designed to take care of their team members' well-being and development.

As part of the #ShackFam, Shift Managers have access to hands-on mentorship, ongoing training, and career development opportunities within a fun and inclusive work atmosphere. The company’s commitment extends beyond just employment; it provides a platform to build successful futures supported by performance bonuses and a variety of insurance and financial benefits. If you are ready to join a mission-driven organization that values integrity and community, the Shift Manager role at Shake Shack offers a remarkable opportunity to make a real difference both professionally and personally.
