Job Description

Noodles & Company is a dynamic and growing fast-casual restaurant chain dedicated to serving high-quality, globally inspired noodle dishes and other delicious comfort foods. Founded with a mission to nourish and inspire every team member, guest, and community, Noodles & Company takes pride in creating an inclusive and welcoming dining experience where guests feel connected through great food and genuine hospitality. The company has earned recognition for its inclusive workplace culture, including accolades from Forbes for Best Employers for Diversity, Women, and Company Culture. Noodles & Company is also committed to supporting its team members' personal and professional growth through comprehensive benefits, leadership development programs, and resource groups that foster belonging and connection.

Currently, Noodles & Company is hiring Shift Managers to join the team at their Salt Lake City location at 1152 East 2100 South, UT. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals eager to advance their restaurant leadership career and gain hands-on management experience. Shift Managers at Noodles & Company play a vital role in leading, coaching, and working alongside their teams to ensure exceptional food quality and welcoming guest experiences. The employment type supports flexible scheduling options for both part-time and full-time candidates, accommodating various availability and lifestyle needs. The hourly pay range for this role is competitive, from $14.50 to $21.00 per hour, supplemented by tips.

As a Shift Manager, you are the backbone of the restaurant’s daily operations and guest satisfaction. You will be responsible for supporting the team during busy rushes and peak hours, maintaining smooth service flow, and promoting a positive work environment. Leading by example, you will uphold food safety, quality, and cleanliness standards while delegating tasks efficiently to meet service goals. You will also own shift routines—whether opening, mid, or closing—and set the stage for the next shift's success. Your leadership will not only help create an atmosphere where customers feel welcomed and valued but also where employees feel supported, motivated, and appreciated.

In addition to operational leadership, this role emphasizes coaching and development; you will provide continuous encouragement and constructive feedback to team members. Recognizing individual contributions and celebrating shift successes are part of fostering a positive, team-oriented culture. Effective communication is paramount, requiring you to address issues promptly and clearly within your team. Physically, the role involves standing for extended periods, bending, twisting, lifting up to 55 pounds, and performing routine restaurant tasks, with reasonable accommodations available when needed.

Noodles & Company also highly values inclusivity and diversity and encourages applicants from all backgrounds, including veterans and their spouses. The company provides benefits designed to enhance both work and life, including medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance options; 401(k) with employer match; leadership development; tuition assistance; flexible schedules; earned pay access; and mental health, legal, and financial resources. Additionally, perks such as complimentary meals, lifestyle discounts, and free language courses enrich the employee experience. If you are ready to grow your leadership skills within a supportive and vibrant restaurant community, Noodles & Company invites you to apply and become part of a team where every noodle and interaction matters.
