Job Description

Shake Shack is a globally recognized hospitality brand known for its commitment to quality food, exceptional service, and community impact. Originating from a humble hot dog cart in New York City's Madison Square Park, the company has evolved into a leading fast-casual restaurant chain with a strong emphasis on hospitality and sustainability. Founded by Danny Meyer, CEO of Union Square Hospitality Group, Shake Shack has maintained its roots in fine dining while making gourmet burgers, shakes, and fries accessible to a wider audience. The company is celebrated not only for its delicious menu but for its inclusive, vibrant culture and dedication to doing the right thing for its employees, customers, and neighborhoods. Shake Shack is deeply committed to creating unforgettable experiences through an engaging work environment that fosters growth, mentorship, and meaningful impact for all its team members. This commitment is evident in the brand's motto, "Stand For Something Good," underscoring its mission to uphold high standards of integrity, community involvement, and environmental stewardship.

The Restaurant Shift Manager role at Shake Shack is a rewarding leadership position focused on managing daily operations and enhancing the guest experience at one of the fastest-growing hospitality establishments. As a Shift Manager, you will oversee the flow of service during your shift, ensuring that safety, cleanliness, food quality, and speed are maintained at the highest standards. You will lead and inspire a team of hourly Team Members, helping them develop skills and grow professionally within the ShackFam culture. This role involves hands-on operational support, such as assisting with purchasing, receiving, and inventory management, helping to keep the restaurant efficient and well-stocked.

Additionally, the Shift Manager plays an active part in recruiting and retaining talent by participating in interviews and supporting employee relations, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. This position offers not only the opportunity to advance your career in hospitality leadership but also to be part of a company that prioritizes its people through mentorship, extensive training, and diverse growth opportunities. Shake Shack offers competitive weekly pay, performance bonuses, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options, paid time off, and other benefits designed to support employee well-being and success. Working at Shake Shack means joining a passionate team dedicated to innovation, community involvement, and crafting memorable dining experiences for every guest.
