As a beloved brand with locations throughout the southern United States, Whataburger prides itself on its culture of bold leadership, teamwork, and service excellence that has created a loyal customer base for over seventy years. This company is not just focused on delivering great burgers but on nurturing talent and offering career growth in the fast-food industry, providing opportunities and support for their employees' professional development and education.
In the role of Shift Leader, you will play a crucial leadership position within the restaurant environment, acting as the driving force behind smooth and efficient shift operations. You will be responsible for managing and motivating a team of Family Members, ensuring that food quality, service, cleanliness standards, and safety regulations are consistently met. This position involves coaching and training team members, encouraging their professional growth, and creating an energetic and positive work environment that fosters collaboration and accountability. Shift Leaders work closely with the Restaurant Manager team, providing support and leadership to maintain a high-performing and customer-focused restaurant.
Whataburger offers flexible scheduling options with day, night, evening, and overnight shifts available to accommodate various lifestyle needs. The employment type encompasses part-time and full-time roles with competitive weekly pay and comprehensive benefits, including paid time off, 401(k) matching, medical, dental, and vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability benefits, and discounts on meals, wireless services, computers, and gym memberships. The company also provides robust educational support such as free English-language learning, no-cost college-level courses, reduced tuition degree pathways, and scholarship programs through the Whataburger Family Foundation for dependents.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about leadership within a fast-paced, customer-service-driven environment and who are eager to develop their career with a well-known and reputable brand. The Shift Leader position at Whataburger is more than a job; it’s a platform to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibilities that can lead to higher leadership roles and a potential six-figure income as an Operating Partner. If you thrive on leading teams, making a tangible impact on customer experience, and growing your leadership skills in a fun, dynamic setting, this role offers a rewarding pathway to success and advancement within the company.
