The Shift Leader role at Zaxbys is a vital leadership position responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts. Shift Leaders manage team members, coordinate tasks, and ensure all company standards for food quality, safety, and customer service are consistently met. This role entails setting shift goals, assigning duties to employees, and fostering a culture of high performance through training and coaching. Shift Leaders are required to promptly address any guest concerns and maintain a positive, motivating team environment that drives guest satisfaction and operational excellence. Additionally, Shift Leaders handle inventory, food production, and compliance with health and safety regulations. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to multitask, and a proactive approach in managing team dynamics and shift objectives. Zaxbys offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $17.00 to $18.00, along with a $750 training completion bonus paid in two installments. Job Duties

  • Complete all training requirements including Zaxbys Shift Leader Development Plan
  • complete food safety certification and any additional training required
  • create a culture of high performance and train and coach team members to meet company standards
  • mentor, coach and develop team members and communicate performance concerns to General Manager
  • prioritize guest and team member experience and resolve complaints respectfully
  • create and maintain positive culture and team morale through recognition and leadership
  • communicate shift goals and motivate team members to meet objectives
  • delegate tasks and supervise performance during shifts
  • maintain operational standards and ensure compliance with guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • ensure service, product quality, and cleanliness standards are upheld
  • enhance guest experience by exceeding expectations
  • receive and reconcile truck deliveries and complete daily inventory
  • manage food production quality by monitoring prepping, cooking, and holding processes
  • track food safety and order accuracy throughout the shift
  • plan shift duties and ensure opening and closing duties are completed
  • collaborate with management team on goals and report progress
  • ensure processes and policies are followed during operations
  • follow company cash management policies
  • maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws
  • utilize management tools and keep accurate records
  • maintain flexibility in performance above job description parameters
  • ensure team works safely and follows safety guidelines
  • report human resources and risk management concerns promptly
  • escalate other concerns to supervisor as appropriate
  • perform all other necessary duties to ensure restaurant operations run smoothly
