The role of Shift Leader at Zaxbys is integral to the smooth operation of the restaurant. Shift Leaders are responsible for overseeing the people, processes, and products required during their shifts to ensure successful service and operational excellence. This position is a leadership role that directly impacts the guest experience, team member performance, and the achievement of company goals. Shift Leaders set the tone for their teams, defining shift goals, delegating tasks, and ensuring all company standards are met throughout their shifts.   • must have reliable transportation
  • available to work 9 to 28 hours per week
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • successful completion of background check
  • demonstrates leadership qualities, organizational skills, and ability to interact cooperatively with others
  • leadership experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Complete all training requirements including Zaxbys shift leader development plan and food safety certification
  • create a culture of high performance and train and coach team members to meet all company standards
  • mentor, coach and develop team members and communicate performance concerns to your general manager
  • prioritize the guest and team member experience and resolve complaints and concerns in friendly and respectful manner
  • create and maintain a positive culture and healthy team morale through recognition and leading by example
  • communicate shift goals and motivate team members to meet goals and perform to their highest ability level
  • delegate tasks to team members and supervise performance during a shift
