The role of Shift Leader at Wingstop is crucial in supporting the General Manager in the daily operations of the restaurant. As a Shift Leader, the individual will be responsible for directing the restaurant's daily activities in the absence of the General Manager, ensuring seamless operation and upholding Wingstop's culture and mission. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in food service, retail, or restaurant industry
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
  • Capacity to work under pressure and in fast-paced environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to listen and provide constructive feedback
  • Commitment to upholding safety and operational standards

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of previous food service, retail or restaurant supervisory experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Initiative and assertiveness
  • Strong interpersonal skills and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage, train, develop and motivate a diverse crew
  • Passionate about hospitality and serving the guest
  • Ability/flexibility to work a changing schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays

Job Duties

  • Assist the General Manager in staffing the restaurant timely and efficiently with a carefully selected team
  • Ensure the restaurant environment is safe for team members and guests
  • Create a respectful and rewarding culture within the restaurant
  • Work well with others and support the Wingstop Team
  • Provide feedback to team members and assist all positions when necessary
  • Greet guests promptly and ensure a positive guest experience
  • Handle orders and inquiries in a friendly and professional manner
  • Resolve low-level guest issues efficiently with a positive attitude
  • Control cash, property, product, and equipment
  • Build sales and control labor and food costs
  • Maintain operational standards and communicate maintenance issues
  • Coach, mentor and develop team members for high performance
  • Ensure risk management issues comply with company standards
