The Restaurant Server Assistant role at Neiman Marcus supports the delivery of outstanding food and beverage service within the company's in-house dining establishments. Job Duties
- Focuses on table maintenance in the dining room including clearing and re-setting tables
- delivers popovers butter and pours water
- delivers food and beverage to guests as indicated by kitchen tickets
- maintains the bus station and beverage areas
- learns table numbers and sections in the dining area
- assists kitchen staff and service staff with any service needs such as additional customer requests restocking plates bagging to go orders setting up expediter station
- assists waitstaff with any service needs refilling beverages and running food from the kitchen to the dining room as needed
- sets up the dining room with key items including but not limited to coffee iced tea and ice
- maintains dining room by restocking glasses flatware and linens
- participates in daily pre-shift meeting
- executes pre-shift post-shift and daily and weekly duties as assigned by supervisor
- lifts and moves objects such as tables chairs highchairs etc
- cleans and maintains restaurant and workstation
- maintains the highest level of hygiene standards including clean pressed uniform jacket and accompanying clothing and shoes clean and professionally styled hair and nails maintained to avoid food contamination risks
- reports to work area dressed appropriately and prepared to work with any necessary supplies equipment to perform job duties
