Job Description
Our establishment is a well-regarded food and beverage company dedicated to providing exceptional dining experiences for our valued guests. We pride ourselves on maintaining a warm, welcoming environment and high standards of cleanliness throughout our restaurant. As part of our commitment to excellence, we are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused server to join our team in the Food and Beverage department. This employment opportunity offers a dynamic role where you will engage with guests, serve delicious menu offerings, and ensure the guest areas are impeccably maintained.
In this role, you will be the face of the restaurant, responsible for greeting guests promptly within thirty seconds of their arrival and ensuring that their dining experience is enjoyable from start to finish. As a server, your duties will include offering drinks, explaining menu selections including any chef specials, taking and promptly filling orders, with the goal of delivering food within eight minutes of order time. Your responsibilities extend to offering desserts and after-dinner drinks during evening shifts if you also serve as a bartender. Presenting checks accurately and maintaining proper record-keeping by entering all orders and vouchers into the Point of Sale (POS) system are also essential duties.
Additionally, you will contribute to the daily setup and breakdown of the front desk coffee bar, as well as managing it throughout your shift. When in-room dining is offered, you will be responsible for delivering food orders to guest rooms efficiently, within thirty minutes. The role includes setting up tables and stocking glassware in preparation for upcoming shifts, as well as rolling flatware for the next day’s use. Maintaining cleanliness is a critical aspect, with duties encompassing cleaning guest-visible areas, windows, doors, shelves, carpets, and glassware. In the absence of a steward, you will also take on sweeping, mopping, and cleaning responsibilities.
If working as a bartender, your role will include following precise drink recipes and tracking beverage costs, with a focus on achieving the restaurant’s 21 percent beverage cost goal. Above all, your focus will always remain on providing excellent guest service. The Food and Beverage Director maintains the authority to adjust duties as necessary and enforce standards to ensure the highest level of service and operational efficiency. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, have excellent interpersonal skills, and are passionate about delivering memorable dining experiences.
