Additionally, servers participate in pre-meal and departmental meetings to remain informed on new products, service techniques, and facility updates. Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Minimum three months experience in a similar role
- Basic knowledge of customer service and restaurant operations
- Familiarity with cash-handling procedures
- Fluent in English
- Ability to see detailed information and observe restaurant area
- Manual coordination and physical ability to carry trays up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, and mobilize throughout shift
- Good hearing and vision
- Ability to read and follow instructions
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good communication skills
- Ability to use tact in stressful situations
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar server position for three months or longer
- Basic knowledge of customer service principles and food server functions
- Understanding of standard cash-handling procedures
- Fluency in oral and written English
- Ability to see in dimly lit conditions
- Manual coordination to handle trays and punch buttons
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Demonstrated tact and understanding when dealing with customer service problems
Job Duties
- Greet and take food and drink orders from restaurant customers
- Serve the orders and accommodate special needs/requests
- Remain attentive to customers throughout the dining experience adhering to service standards
- Complete restocking and cleaning duties performing opening and closing sidework
- Memorize menu items, recipes, and daily specials to answer questions and make recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness standards in the restaurant, waitstation, and kitchen service area
- Control allocated guest checks, document all required information, receive proper payment, and ensure accuracy
- Attend pre-meal and departmental meetings
- Respond to customer inquiries and comments in person and on phone
- Present a clean and professional appearance
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
