Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Minimum three months experience in a similar role
  • Basic knowledge of customer service and restaurant operations
  • Familiarity with cash-handling procedures
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to see detailed information and observe restaurant area
  • Manual coordination and physical ability to carry trays up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, and mobilize throughout shift
  • Good hearing and vision
  • Ability to read and follow instructions
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to use tact in stressful situations

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar server position for three months or longer
  • Basic knowledge of customer service principles and food server functions
  • Understanding of standard cash-handling procedures
  • Fluency in oral and written English
  • Ability to see in dimly lit conditions
  • Manual coordination to handle trays and punch buttons
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a busy environment
  • Demonstrated tact and understanding when dealing with customer service problems

Job Duties

  • Greet and take food and drink orders from restaurant customers
  • Serve the orders and accommodate special needs/requests
  • Remain attentive to customers throughout the dining experience adhering to service standards
  • Complete restocking and cleaning duties performing opening and closing sidework
  • Memorize menu items, recipes, and daily specials to answer questions and make recommendations
  • Maintain cleanliness standards in the restaurant, waitstation, and kitchen service area
  • Control allocated guest checks, document all required information, receive proper payment, and ensure accuracy
  • Attend pre-meal and departmental meetings
  • Respond to customer inquiries and comments in person and on phone
  • Present a clean and professional appearance
  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
