Job Description

Our establishment is a well-established restaurant known for its welcoming atmosphere and quality service. We specialize in delivering an exceptional dining experience through our attentive staff and diverse menu offerings. As a vibrant part-time position within our team, we offer an hourly base pay starting at $10.35 plus cash tips, including a 20% mandatory gratuity for large tables or high bills. Our compensation structure is designed to reward hard work and dedication, with hibachi table tips shared with chefs and portions allocated to bussers and bar staff for drink orders. In addition to competitive pay, we provide paid training at a rate of $15.50 per hour to ensure you are fully prepared to excel in your role.

The role requires greeting customers at your assigned tables, promptly attending to their drink and food orders, making drinks in the kitchen, and ensuring timely delivery to tables. You will engage with customers by suggesting appetizers, bar drinks, and desserts after their entrees have been served, answering any menu-related questions, and accurately inputting orders into the computer system. Responsibilities also include retrieving dishes and drinks from the kitchen, sushi bar, and bar while carrying all necessary accompaniments such as extra plates, soy sauce, and steak knives to the tables. Maintaining a clean and orderly dining environment by clearing away finished dishes and glasses, refilling water, and monitoring drink refills are also key duties.

A unique aspect of this position involves recording hibachi orders using food abbreviations and leaving them on hibachi tables for the chefs to prepare and serve, as servers do not bring hibachi orders directly to the hibachi area. Additionally, the job includes performing miscellaneous nightly side work such as restocking glasses, polishing utensils, and wiping down check folders to ensure smooth operations. Job Duties
