Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- able to work part-time
- good physical stamina for standing and walking
- basic math skills for handling orders and tips
- availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service preferred
- ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- strong communication skills
- basic knowledge of restaurant POS systems helpful
- friendly and professional demeanor
- ability to work collaboratively in a team
Job Duties
- Greet customers at assigned tables
- ask about drinks and make drinks in the kitchen
- bring drinks to tables promptly
- ask about ordering appetizers, bar drinks, and desserts after entree
- answer menu questions
- take orders and submit into computer system
- pick up food from kitchen and sushi bar
- bring necessary items such as extra plates, soy sauce, steak knives to tables
- clear away finished dishes and glasses
- refill water and ask about drink refills
- record hibachi orders for each seat with food abbreviations and leave on hibachi table for chefs
- perform nightly side work such as restocking glasses, polishing utensils, wiping down check folders
