The Prep Cook at WOB Bar & Kitchen plays a critical role in the daily operations of the kitchen by preparing the essential ingredients needed for menu items. This hourly position requires a detail-oriented and experienced individual who is committed to upholding the World of Beer Prep Cook standards, which emphasize food quality, safety, sanitation, and productivity. Working under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager, the Prep Cook is responsible for following established recipes, maintaining their workstation's cleanliness, and collaborating with culinary team members to ensure seamless and efficient service. The role demands someone who can work with urgency and energy while maintaining excellent communication skills and a cooperative spirit within the team. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of food safety guidelines and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, contributing positively to the overall kitchen operations while supporting the mission of providing exceptional food and beverage experiences to WOB guests.

Job Requirements
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop, push and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits
- Flexible schedule
- Ability to withstand frequent exposure to high and low temperatures, smoke, and steam
- Frequent contact with sanitary latex gloves, sanitation solutions, meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, dairy and produce items
- Ability to learn and understand how to prepare all food items on the menu to World of Beer specifications, appearance and standards in a timely manner
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a prep cook or in a similar role is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Must be able follow directions of Kitchen Manager
Job Duties
- Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the WOB recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
- Follow the prep list created by Kitchen management
- Label and stock all ingredients so they can be organized and easily accessible
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Ensure all food and station items are stored properly
- Maintain clean work environment
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service
