Job Requirements

  • 2 years of management experience in hospitality or similar industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Restaurant, or Culinary Management preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Passion for creating and personalizing guest experiences
  • Food Handler Certification if applicable
  • Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of management experience in hospitality or a similar industry

Job Duties

  • Create an exciting, innovative, and memorable dining experience for all guests
  • Lead a well-rounded and knowledgeable front-of-house team
  • Evaluate restaurant service performance and coordinate timely food production daily
  • Participate in evaluation of food products, kitchen employee performance, and product development
  • Develop selection and pricing strategy of all liquors and wines and supervise their procurement
  • Assist the General Manager in building financial objectives through the budget process
  • Implement and improve the annual marketing plan to meet financial targets
  • Manage cost control with a focus on cost of sales and payroll
  • Communicate with management, employees, and accounting staff
  • Provide necessary training and development for personnel
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations through quarterly Kimpton Check-Ins
  • Implement and conduct ongoing training programs for staff
  • Ensure daily cleanliness of the restaurant both internally and externally
  • Supervise non-supervisory service employees
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and laws
  • Interview, hire, train employees
  • Plan, assign, and direct work
  • Appraise performance
  • Reward and coach employees
  • Address complaints and resolve problems
