The role of a Restaurant Manager at Whataburger is a pivotal leadership position within the company. This role involves overseeing the operations of a high-volume restaurant that generates average annual sales exceeding $4 million and manages a team of more than 50 Family Members. The Restaurant Manager ensures that the restaurant consistently delivers great food, excellent service, and maintains high standards of cleanliness and safety. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop well-rounded leadership skills by rotating through various Areas of Responsibility including Customer Service, Quality control, and People management. This rotation prepares managers for future advancement opportunities such as becoming Operating Partners with the potential to earn six-figure incomes.

As a Restaurant Manager at Whataburger, you will play an integral role in driving operational performance, developing your team, and fostering a positive work environment. Your leadership will directly impact the guest experience by promoting hospitality standards and ensuring every customer interaction reflects Whataburger's commitment to service. This role is full-time and comes with a competitive weekly pay structure along with a bonus program that offers 2.5 times upside potential. Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED strongly preferred or equivalent experience
  • Be able to meet business needs and have open availability including overnights, weekends, holidays, and variable hours
  • Maintain dependable attendance
  • Ability to stand up to 10 hours and lift up to 55 lbs
  • Have 1-3 years of leadership experience
  • Possess ServSafe Food Manager Certification or ability to obtain during training
  • Possess a valid driver's license and maintain current automobile liability insurance

  • Lead shift transitions and maintain smooth operations across all day parts
  • Guide talent development, training, hiring, and retention in partnership with restaurant leadership team
  • Support business planning, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
