Job Description
Flanigan's is the largest and most popular restaurant chain in South Florida, boasting a rich legacy and a trusted name in the Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. Since its inception in 1959, Flanigan's has grown into a beloved institution known for quality dining and exceptional service. The company's expansion and continuous addition of new units create opportunities for experienced restaurant managers to join a reputable and thriving organization. Flanigan's commitment to excellence and community presence makes it a standout employer in the hospitality industry of South Florida.
The restaurant manager role at Flanigan's is pivotal to maintaining the high standards the brand is known for. This position requires an experienced and skilled professional eager to grow and prosper within the company. As a manager, you will oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring smooth communication between the kitchen and management teams throughout the day. The role demands a leader with an ownership mentality—someone who not only manages but also embodies the spirit of Flanigan's by adhering to policies, attending meetings, conducting employee evaluations, and rigorously maintaining health code standards. This is a demanding role requiring flexibility in scheduling due to the restaurant's year-round operations, as well as the willingness to relocate if necessary.
The position offers competitive starting salaries and an advantage for qualified candidates with experience—the company encourages fast-tracking in both position and compensation. Managers at Flanigan's are expected to handle a wide range of responsibilities from logging daily activities, participating in weekly and monthly meetings, to facilitating seamless communication with management on shift changes. They must also conduct timely interviews aligned with Flanigan's hiring policy and provide clear, honest reports on events within the restaurant.
Flanigan's is committed to supporting its managers with comprehensive benefits including paid vacations (ranging from one to three weeks based on tenure), medical and dental insurance options, and a 401K plan with immediate eligibility for those over 21. The work environment values performance over tenure, offering advancement opportunities to those who demonstrate dedication and skill. Managers also benefit from a five-day workweek with two consecutive days off, personal days, and free shift meals, underscoring the company’s focus on work-life balance and employee welfare.
In sum, this role is ideal for motivated, organized individuals who thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment and are passionate about upholding Flanigan's legacy of excellence. If you are an experienced restaurant manager seeking a stable, rewarding career with a company deeply embedded in the South Florida community, Flanigan's invites you to submit your resume and become part of a legendary family where your skills and commitment will be highly valued and rewarded.
