Texas Roadhouse is currently seeking a Restaurant Manager who will oversee both the Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) operations. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for ensuring that every facet of the restaurant operates smoothly and aligns with the company’s mission of delivering legendary food and service at all times. The Restaurant Manager will lead a team of hourly employees by hiring, managing performance, scheduling, and coaching, also fostering a safe and enjoyable workplace that reflects the company’s core values.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing restaurant operations, with a genuine passion for guest service and a strong understanding of kitchen workflows. Responsibilities include directing work schedules, evaluating employee performance, overseeing food preparation to meet quality and safety standards, driving sales, and maintaining guest satisfaction. The Restaurant Manager will implement training programs for both FOH and BOH teams, conduct quality checks such as line Taste & Temps, and manage inventory to control food, supplies, and liquor costs effectively.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience managing a restaurant team
  • knowledge of food safety and health regulations
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • excellent leadership and communication skills
  • ability to train and develop staff effectively

Job Duties

  • Manage hourly employees, including conducting performance evaluations, coaching and discipline
  • reviewing applications, interviewing, and hiring or recommending hiring of hourly employees
  • directing work for employees including setting hours and weekly schedules and assigning tasks before, during, and after open hours
  • driving sales, steps of service, and guest satisfaction
  • providing, directing, and scheduling Front of House and Back of House training
  • supervise and oversee the production and preparation of food consistent with established recipes and procedures
  • conduct formal line Taste & Temps
  • enforce appropriate security measures to maintain safety of employees and guests
  • manage food, supplies, and liquor costs by conducting weekly inventory
  • understand, manage, and practice safe food handling procedures
  • create a safe, fun, and clean work environment consistent with core values and operational goals
