The Restaurant General Manager (RGM) role at Taco Bell plays a crucial leadership role responsible for the overall management and supervision of a single unit's operations. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Completed required learning zone training and certifications if promoted internally
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 6 months supervisory role experience
  • Legal right to work in the United States
  • Open availability and flexible to work all shifts
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • At least 18 years old
  • Strong preference for internal promote from AGM with completed learning zone training and certifications
  • High school diploma or GED required, undergraduate degree preferred
  • Minimum of 6 months supervisory experience preferably in service-related business
  • Legal right to work in the United States
  • Open availability and ability to work flexible hours and all shifts

Job Duties

  • Ensure cost categories including food cost, labor cost, cash and controllable expenses are controlled to company guidelines and budgeted levels
  • Work to produce positive sales growth by improving 5 Bells, CORE, speed of service and food quality
  • Maintain adequate staffing levels for all days and shifts to meet scheduling requirements
  • Prepare and conduct performance appraisals for crew members, shift managers, and assistant general managers
  • Perform hiring process for new crew members, shift leaders, and assistant general managers
  • Coach and counsel crew members and managers, training team to certification and performance standards
  • Maintain restaurant cleanliness and organization, ensuring food service sanitation compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws
  • Verify a safe environment for employees and guests and take corrective actions as needed
  • Ensure preventative maintenance for equipment and facilities and report needed repairs
  • Provide excellent guest service and handle complaints to facilitate repeat business
  • Provide timely feedback to area coach on operating results
  • Manage turnover through effective selection, training and fostering a positive work environment
  • Prepare food and handle cash register as needed for guests and training purposes
