Job Description
Turning Point is a renowned daytime-only restaurant chain with a strong presence across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Florida, and Virginia. Established 28 years ago, the company has garnered a reputation for delivering exceptional dining experiences with a focus on daytime operations. Operating daily between 7:30 am and 3 pm, Turning Point offers employees a unique opportunity to enjoy a balanced work-life schedule. With no night shifts and a single management shift, employees can consistently be home in time for dinner, fostering a happier, healthier lifestyle. The company is a blend of corporate-owned and franchised locations, representing a growing and dynamic employer in the hospitality industry. Throughout its longstanding history, Turning Point has maintained a commitment to professionalism, growth, and gratitude. It hires energetic and hardworking individuals, whether they have prior restaurant experience or not, who are eager to learn, lead, and deliver exceptional guest service. The company also emphasizes respect and a collaborative work atmosphere, supported by a comprehensive managerial training program. This program includes weekly and biweekly follow-ups with upper management and HR to ensure new hires have a positive training experience and undergo thorough learning of the Turning Point operating system. This careful approach to training highlights the company’s dedication to mutual respect and professional growth. The role of Restaurant Manager at Turning Point focuses on daytime restaurant management, eliminating the challenges of night or split shifts. The manager is responsible for overseeing a single shift, minimizing the chances of working doubles or dealing with inconvenient open or close shifts. Managers work closely with front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure seamless operations and foster a cooperative work environment. Each period requires the manager to conduct a full inventory, and they have full transparency into the financial performance of their restaurant, tying their compensation directly to performance through bonuses. Turning Point also embraces technology to support efficient operations and reduce managerial burdens. Support and communication from the district and upper management teams are timely, helpful, and respectful of personal time. The company fosters a culture of appreciation with company picnics, dinners, paid days off, manager workshops, and other tokens of gratitude. Relocation opportunities are available within the states where Turning Point operates, encouraging career mobility and growth. Managers are expected to consistently hire exceptional team members, ensure fairness and equality in the workplace, and develop growth opportunities for their teams, all while delivering the ideal Turning Point experience to guests from start to finish. Compensation for the Restaurant Manager position ranges from $55,000 to $65,000 annually, with additional earning potential through performance-based bonuses paid 13 times per year. Benefits are robust and include 401(k), paid time off, health, dental, and vision insurance. Employees also enjoy free or discounted meals, holiday and weekend work with opportunities for approved shift swaps, and a supportive, team-oriented working environment that values collaboration, respect, and professional growth. Turning Point invites candidates to join their team and start a fulfilling career journey in hospitality management with an employer that prioritizes people and work-life balance.
