Job Description
Chili's is a distinguished casual dining restaurant chain that originated in Dallas, Texas in 1975. Over the decades, Chili's has established a prominent position in the industry known for its signature menu offerings such as Big Mouth burgers, house-smoked ribs, full-on fajitas, and hand-shaken margaritas. The brand prides itself on fostering a warm, welcoming atmosphere that reflects a culture of service, hospitality, and community giving. These core values are integral to Chili's identity and guide its commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences to every Guest, every day.
Chili's operates with a strong emphasis on a fun yet professional work culture where employees take their jobs seriously but maintain a lighthearted and enthusiastic approach. The company’s vibrant, win-together atmosphere encourages teamwork, inclusivity, and mutual respect. It recognizes and celebrates employees who go above and beyond to exceed expectations and contribute to the overall success of the restaurant.
The Manager role at Chili's is pivotal in driving this mission forward. Chili's Managers are characterized by a genuine passion for hospitality and a natural ability to connect with both Team Members and Guests. As essential leaders on the floor, Managers play a critical role in ensuring an outstanding Guest experience, operational excellence, and team cohesion. This role requires a dynamic individual who can skillfully balance the demands of managing a fast-paced restaurant environment with a heart for leading and developing people.
Managers at Chili's must embody the restaurant’s cultural beliefs, including the importance of every Guest, striving for food perfection, personal accountability, and embracing the playful yet dedicated spirit of operating a restaurant. The position involves a multitude of responsibilities ranging from leading teams through energizing shifts to ensuring quality and safety standards are met at all times. Managers are expected to analyze challenges with a reflective mindset, holding themselves accountable first, and demonstrating transparency and vulnerability to foster trust and communication within the team.
In addition to leadership, Managers drive business results by leveraging Chili's operational systems effectively. This includes managing costs, following timelines, conducting quality line checks, and strategically hiring, training, and retaining talented Team Members. They also have the responsibility of fostering community relationships and driving Guest engagement that transcends the restaurant walls. The role calls for someone dependable, who thrives in fast-paced environments, handles multitasking seamlessly, and inspires their team with both heart and mind. In essence, a Chili's Manager is a multifaceted leader who ensures that the restaurant not only meets but exceeds financial and service goals, all while nurturing a positive, spirited workplace culture.
