As a Restaurant Manager (Bar) at Mastro's, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring that every aspect of the guest experience is flawless. The Restaurant Manager (Bar) is responsible for motivating employees through example-driven leadership and maintaining a welcoming yet efficient environment. You will be instrumental in managing both the front of house operations and the bar, ensuring seamless collaboration between teams to enhance the overall dining experience. Job Requirements

  • At least a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of upscale/fine dining restaurant management experience
  • Minimum 2 years of Sommelier experience in a fine dining, high volume environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of occupational, health, and safety regulations
  • Ability to manage financial documentation accurately
  • Commitment to providing exceptional guest service

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2+ years of upscale fine dining restaurant management experience
  • At least 2+ years of Sommelier experience in a fine dining, high volume environment
  • Level 2 certified Sommelier Court of Masters is a plus
  • Extensive wine knowledge
  • Hospitality focused with strong ability to sell
  • Extensive front of house knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of financial aspects
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Stable and progressive work history
  • Strong work ethic

Job Duties

  • Ensure excellence in guest satisfaction through a commitment to a Do Whatever It Takes attitude and hands-on, lead by example management style
  • Utilize leadership skills and motivate employees to ensure cost control and labor management
  • Inspect establishment and observe workers and guests to ensure compliance with occupational, health, and safety standards and liquor regulations
  • Ensure paperwork accuracy such as daily sales summary reports, petty cash reimbursement forms, and payroll records
  • Lead and develop staff to maintain high service and food quality standards
  • Oversee bar operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences
  • Manage financial aspects including budgeting and reporting
