The company is more than just a restaurant; it is a community gathering place where guests can enjoy delicious food, abundant servings, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes everyone feel at home. Cracker Barrel prides itself on its roots and dedication to delivering a memorable hospitality experience, emphasizing that it always serves up more than just a meal. The organization values teamwork, hospitality, and care, which are reflected in both their guest service and employee experience.
The role of a Restaurant Manager at Cracker Barrel is multifaceted, combining operational leadership with a strong focus on people management and guest satisfaction. This position involves overseeing both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring that every aspect of the restaurant runs smoothly from kitchen flow to guest service. As a Restaurant Manager, you are entrusted with coaching, developing, and inspiring your team to deliver exceptional country hospitality that Cracker Barrel is renowned for. Your leadership style should balance care for employees and guests, fostering an environment where both feel valued and respected. You will be responsible for managing inventory, maintaining the operational standards of the restaurant, and leading by example during busy shifts and daily service.
The Restaurant Manager role is ideal for leaders who thrive under pressure, enjoy managing diverse teams, and believe that hospitality success starts with strong leadership. The position requires 2-5+ years of successful restaurant management experience and a willingness to work extensive hours, including five 10-hour shifts per week, with availability during holidays and weekends. Having a valid driver’s license is also a requirement for this role.
Cracker Barrel offers a comprehensive benefits package that supports and values its employees. These include competitive pay, merit increases, bonuses, medical, dental, and vision coverage starting from day one, life insurance, disability coverage, and paid vacation, along with employee assistance programs. The company is committed to helping you grow and thrive through professional development, tuition reimbursement, and internal promotion opportunities. Furthermore, Cracker Barrel fosters a culture of belonging with onboarding, training, development programs, recognition initiatives, and employee events. Financial wellness is also supported through a 401(k) plan with company matching contributions, an employee stock purchase program, and exclusive discounts on food and retail items.
