The Restaurant Manager position at Wendy's is a pivotal role designed to support the General Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent experience in operations
  • 1 year of line operations experience in the restaurant industry
  • Ability to perform all restaurant operations positions/functions
  • Knowledge of Wendy's operating systems and procedures
  • Understanding of Wendy's policies related to job responsibilities
  • Familiarity with supervisory practices and interviewing
  • Experience with crew orientation and training programs

Job Duties

  • Manage labor costs by evaluating labor needs against projected sales
  • Review budget and P&L monthly
  • Promote customer satisfaction to build sales
  • Monitor crew prep, production, and procedure execution
  • Track waste levels and monitor crew position procedures
  • Communicate sales and profit issues to General Manager or District Manager
  • Assist in executing restaurant sales and profits plans
  • Monitor food costs to eliminate waste and theft
  • Process crew applications and set up interviews
  • Interview and hire crew to ensure adequate coverage
  • Monitor crew turnover and make recommendations
  • Monitor product quality and manage crew performance
  • Take service times and determine efficiency
  • Train crew in customer courtesy and response
  • Take corrective actions to improve service times
  • Train crew to solicit customer feedback
  • Establish and communicate daily sales goals
  • Train crew to maintain cleanliness
  • Follow restaurant cleaning plans
  • Direct crew to correct cleaning deficiencies
  • Train crew in new products
  • Assist General Manager in training new managers
  • Use Crew Orientation and Training process
  • Cross-train crew for shift coverage
  • Recognize high-performing crewmembers
  • Follow flowcharts to meet prep and production goals
  • Monitor inventory levels

  • Manage shift to Quality, Service, Cleanliness level of 80% or better
