As a leading player in the casual dining sector, Olive Garden emphasizes quality food, excellent customer service, and a supportive work environment for its team members. Recognized for its commitment to community involvement, Olive Garden has donated millions of pounds of food to hunger relief efforts and provides substantial financial support to its employees through emergency funds and education grants. The company fosters a culture that values work-life balance, career advancement, and employee well-being, making it an employer of choice in the restaurant industry.
The role of Restaurant Manager at Olive Garden is a pivotal position designed for individuals who are passionate about leading teams and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Restaurant Managers at Olive Garden are responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, guiding staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality, customer service, and sanitation are consistently met. This position offers significant flexibility, allowing managers to work no more than 50 hours per week, with guaranteed weekends off and paid time off that starts accruing immediately, including vacation and flexible time. Olive Garden’s commitment to quality of life extends to paid parental leave, adoption reimbursement assistance, and paid time off for family care after one year of service. This role reports directly to the General Manager and requires a results-driven, people-focused leader who possesses a strong desire to foster a winning team environment.
The Restaurant Manager position at Olive Garden is not only a job but a path for career growth and advancement within a vast network of restaurants. The company prides itself on promoting from within, with 99% of General Managers and Directors of Operations rising through the ranks. This position comes with competitive compensation, including a base salary complemented by quarterly bonuses, and immediate eligibility for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Additional benefits include company-paid short-term disability, life insurance, and generous discounts at numerous merchant partners for essentials like cell phones, daycare, and clothing. Upon completing one year of service, employees gain access to a robust 401(k) plan with a double match on contributions and participation in the employee stock purchase program. The company also enforces strict health and safety guidelines, including adherence to CDC Covid-19 protocols, to ensure a secure working environment for all team members. Joining Olive Garden means becoming part of a passionate family that supports each other in both work and life, exemplified by the company’s mantra: "We're All Family Here!"
