Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is a rapidly expanding restaurant brand specializing exclusively in chicken finger meals, proudly branding its product as the company's One Love. The restaurant is known not only for its high-quality food but also for its vibrant and inclusive company culture, which centers around a philosophy of Work Hard. Have Fun. Established as the fastest-growing chicken concept in the United States, Raising Cane's is on a trajectory to becoming one of the Top 10 restaurant brands nationwide. This momentum is driven by a commitment to exceptional customer service, a strong team environment, and a focus on operational excellence.
Working at Raising Cane's means being part of a company where every team member, or Crewmember, plays an essential role in fueling the organization's ongoing growth and success. The company culture is characterized by employees who are passionate, motivated, and dedicated to upholding the brand's standards while fostering a supportive and fun work atmosphere. Raising Cane's values its employees highly and fosters an environment where individuals can develop professionally and personally through various opportunities including ongoing training and leadership development programs.
The Restaurant Manager role at Raising Cane's is a pivotal position within the restaurant’s leadership team, responsible for supporting the Restaurant Leader in the day-to-day operational management of the restaurant. This role is instrumental in maintaining Raising Cane's high standards and cultural values, particularly during shift management. The Restaurant Manager ensures smooth restaurant operations by overseeing all restaurant zones, managing employee performance, enforcing company policies, and ensuring customer satisfaction is consistently achieved.
Physical demands of the role include working in a fast-paced kitchen environment that requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, lifting, and bending. Managers are also expected to engage directly with customers, ensuring exceptional service. The work environment may involve varying temperatures and requires compliance with safety standards including use of personal protective equipment due to exposure to food products, allergens, commercial cleaning products, and industrial kitchen equipment.
Restaurant Managers act as the manager on duty, responsible for opening and closing the restaurant, managing cash handling, and ensuring accountability during their shift. They enforce all Raising Cane's policies and standards, lead shift meetings, document operational results, and address any issues proactively. Directing crewmembers effectively during shifts and utilizing rewards and recognition programs to motivate employees are key duties that contribute to both employee satisfaction and operational excellence.
This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team are essential for success. Proficiency in technology systems including Microsoft Office programs is necessary, along with strong staffing, scheduling, and cost management skills.
Raising Cane's offers a competitive starting pay range beginning at $18 per hour, with variations based on location and experience. The company employs a variety of shifts including days, evenings, and weekends and may require travel for training and work-related functions. Full-time Restaurant Managers enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and pharmacy coverage, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with employer match, tuition reimbursement, gym memberships, and more, all contributing to Raising Cane's commitment to employee well-being and growth.
The Restaurant Manager position is ideal for someone with at least one year of restaurant or retail management experience who is looking to advance in their career within a fast-growing and exciting brand. Raising Cane's places great emphasis on training and developing its leaders, ensuring that managers have the tools and support needed to raise the bar in restaurant operations and team leadership. If you want to be part of a winning team culture while pursuing a meaningful management career, Raising Cane's is an excellent choice.
