Job Description
Olive Garden is a well-established restaurant brand known across the United States and Canada, celebrated for its welcoming Italian dining experience and community-focused values. With over 870 restaurant locations, Olive Garden emphasizes not only culinary excellence but also an engaging, family-centered atmosphere where employees and guests alike are treated with respect and care. This restaurant is part of a larger hospitality group dedicated to quality food, exceptional service, and sustainable business practices that foster long-term growth and community involvement. The company supports its workforce with comprehensive benefit packages and opportunities for career advancement, encouraging employees to build lasting careers within the organization.
The Restaurant Manager role at Olive Garden is crucial in upholding the brand’s reputation by providing strong leadership, operational excellence, and team motivation. This position reports directly to the General Manager and plays a key role in managing daily restaurant functions while ensuring outstanding guest experiences. Restaurant Managers are entrusted with leading their teams effectively, maintaining high standards in service quality, and fostering a positive, collaborative workplace culture. Olive Garden’s restaurant managers enjoy a balanced work schedule, typically working no more than 50 hours per week with two days off, including one weekend off per month, allowing them to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Moreover, Olive Garden demonstrates a strong commitment to employee growth and well-being, offering comprehensive training programs that ensure managers are well-prepared to succeed and advance their careers within the hospitality industry. With benefits such as tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance, maternity and paternity leave, and a generous paid time off policy—including up to three weeks of vacation within the first year—employees are supported both professionally and personally. Additionally, managers receive competitive base salaries with quarterly bonus eligibility, immediate access to medical, dental, vision insurance, and company-paid short-term disability and life insurance. Retirement benefits include a 401(k) plan with a match up to 120% on the first 6% of earnings and a company-paid Retirement Plus Benefit.
Olive Garden’s dedication extends beyond its employees to the communities it serves. The company has donated over 44 million pounds of food to aid hunger relief efforts, contributed millions in grants to team members in need, and supports food banks nationwide. As part of its operational focus, Olive Garden maintains rigorous safety and sanitation protocols aligned with CDC guidelines, ensuring the health and well-being of guests and staff. The Restaurant Manager position at Olive Garden is more than a job; it is a leadership opportunity within a vibrant, progressive field where the values of family, teamwork, and excellence converge. Joining Olive Garden means joining a family where support and inspiration go hand in hand, fostering an environment where every team member can thrive and contribute to shared success.
